Village Health Works Collaborates with the Toni Garrn Foundation on International Day of the Girl

Toni and Deo

After Toni Garrn visited our campus in 2017 we agreed to partner to bring health and hope to the women of Burundi. Together, we have a shared belief that all girls deserve access to quality healthcare, an education and the freedom to reach their potential. Since then, we have combined forces to build programs and infrastructure to promote gender equality and girl’s empowerment.

The Toni Garrn Foundation’s support this year will help promote initiatives like the Girls Empowerment Program, where female participants are taught leadership skills and given the tools to better control their destiny as well as helping us start the Kigutu International Academy.

Thank you to the Toni Garrn Foundation and all of our supporters who encourage girls to stay in school, delay pregnancies, and help ensure they have access to dignified health services. You are allowing them to create a brighter future for themselves.
